ADOT/ L202 Design-Build Widening (Gilbert Rd to I-10)

L202 Design-Build (I-10 to Gilbert Rd), (Chandler/Gilbert, AZ)

QT teamed up with the Pulice/Granite Joint Venture and provided all Quality Control (QC) Testing and Inspection on this $100 million Design-Build project that involved widening and adding HOV lanes to the L202 freeway in Chandler, AZ.  This project involved 10 miles of earthwork followed by AC and PCCP pavement sections, concrete barrier, multiple flyover bridges utilizing both precast AASHTO girders and post tensioned box girder systems, and all associated signing, striping, drainage, and utility relocation.  QT was key in the development of the QC Program and provided the overall Construction Quality Control Manager along with a team that includes civil and structural inspectors, testing technicians, and a materials testing laboratory.  ADOT praised this QT run program for its effectiveness in controlling the quality of the construction work as it is being constructed.
